INTRAMURAL COST PER YEAR: $35
Flag Football:
Boys in grades 3 and 4 can play flag football. Boys who play flag football can not play intramural or CYO soccer. The program is run as a league by St. Ann parish with other parishes participating. The emphasis is, however, on teaching basic football skills and not competition. There will be one practice per week. Coaches are needed! Please consider volunteering. The season will begin approximately in mid-September and run for about 8 weeks. Games are played on Saturday mornings at Roxboro Junior High on North Park Boulevard. Teams will be divided as evenly as possible. Volunteer coaches and coordinators are needed.
We will be holding Flag Football assessments on Mon 8-23 from 6:15-7:15pm at Gerrity School. Assessments are used to determine kids’ skill and ability levels so that we can equally allocate players so that all Gesu teams can be competitive. Boys will be informed of their team a few days after the assessments.
Please have your son wear their Gesu gym shirt.
The season will start on Sat 9-11. All games are held at Roxboro School in Cleveland Heights with game times at 8;30, 930 or 1030.
We are also looking for 2 more Head coaches. Please contact John Conry at 216-292-7433 if interested.

Because of the physical conditioning and training that is necessary in running sports, practices are Mondays-Friday, 6:00pm-7:30pm at Forest Hill Park. Meet at the picnic pavilion near the parking lot. Practices are held in conjunction with the grades 4-8 CYO team beginning August 20. You are encouraged to make as many practices as possible but you should plan on attending at least two practices. Parents who wish to run with the kids are encouraged to do so. The season will consist of 5 Saturday meets beginning in early September. Meets are held on both the east and west sides of town.
Pillo Polo:
Pillo Polo is a fun combination of ice hockey, field hockey and polo. Up to 24 children can play at a time with safe sticks made of foam. Rules are similar to hockey with the object to hit the foam ball into a net with the stick. The goalie is allowed to pick up the ball and throw it down field. Teams will be coed and by homeroom. PSR students in grades 1 and 2 will be assigned to Rm. 101 and Rm. 104, respectively. Games will be one (1) hour in length on Saturday mornings from 8:00am-11:00am.
